Fire in Doda renders seven families homeless | KNO

Doda , January 14 (KNO) : Half a dozen houses and eight shops and some departmental stores of various departments were gutted in a fire that broke out in Goha Marmath village of Doda district in this afternoon , rendering more than seven families homeless, reports said. According to KNO, the blaze, believed to have started in a wooden house, engulfed adjoining houses, majority of which were also made of wood.“We also heard blasts that could be LPG cylinders. Eventually, cylinders and other essential things were removed from adjoining houses,” said a resident of a neighbouring village. Locals told KNO that fire tenders were also rushed from Doda and the fire was contained by evening. “We are making a list of the affected families and it may increase to one dozen,” he said.(KNO)
